Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mon App Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Tinted iOS application ("App"). Tinted is built privacy-first: your photo is analyzed on your device and is never uploaded.
Your photo never leaves your iPhone. Color analysis runs entirely on-device. Only anonymous numerical color values are sent to our servers for classification — never the image itself.
1. No Account, No Personal Data
Tinted does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. You can complete a full color analysis without giving us any personal details.
2. Camera & Photos
The App requests access to your camera (and optionally your photo library) so you can capture or select the selfie used for color analysis. This image is processed locally on your device using Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks to extract numerical color measurements (such as skin, hair, and eye color values in the LAB color space).
Your photo is not transmitted to our servers, stored remotely, used to train any model, or shared with anyone. Analyses you save remain on your device.
3. What Is Sent for Classification
To determine your seasonal color type and generate guidance, the App sends only anonymous, non-identifying data — such as the extracted numerical color values and your quiz answers (e.g., natural hair color, vein tone) — to our backend, which relays it to an AI model for classification and palette suggestions. This data cannot be used to identify you and contains no image.
4. Third-Party Services
Google Firebase
We use Firebase for backend infrastructure, including Cloud Functions, anonymous app analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and remote configuration. Firebase may collect standard technical data such as device type, OS version, app version, and anonymous usage events, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini (AI processing)
Classification and the palette chat assistant are powered by Google's Gemini model, accessed only through our secure Firebase backend. Requests are text-only (numerical color values and quiz answers) — no photos are ever sent.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat in observer mode to report on subscription status for analytics. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit; RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data. No payment card information is handled by us. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see or store your payment details.
5. Subscriptions
If you start a free trial or purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only the anonymous purchase status needed to unlock premium features and measure conversions.
6. Notifications
With your permission, the App may send local notifications on your device — for example, a reminder before your free trial ends. These are scheduled locally and do not involve sending your data to us.
7. Not Medical Advice
Tinted provides color and styling suggestions for personal, cosmetic, and entertainment purposes. Results are generated by AI and are not professional, medical, or dermatological advice.
8. Data Retention
Because we don't collect personal data or photos, there is nothing personal to retain. Anonymous technical and analytics data is retained by our service providers according to their own policies. Saved analyses live only on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the App.
9. Children's Privacy
Tinted is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
10. Your Rights
Since the App stores your analyses locally and we hold no personal data about you, you remain in full control: deleting an analysis in the App or uninstalling the App removes that information from your device.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
