Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the PinFinder iOS application (the “App”), published by Mon App Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
PinFinder helps you discover places — cafés, bars, restaurants and similar venues — near you or in an area you choose. You describe what you are looking for, in your own words or with filters, and the App returns a shortlist drawn from live place data, reordered by our own editorial selection.
2. Place Information Is Not Ours, and Not Guaranteed
Names, addresses, opening hours, ratings, photos and other venue details are supplied by third-party mapping providers and by the venues themselves. We do not control that information and cannot guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current. Opening hours change, businesses close, and ratings move. Always check with the venue before relying on what you see in the App.
Editorial notes, tags and “PinFinder Pick” badges reflect our own opinion. They are subjective recommendations, not a warranty about a venue's quality, safety, hygiene or suitability for you. We have no commercial relationship that determines which places we recommend, and we do not accept payment for a pick.
Use your own judgement. PinFinder points you at places. Deciding whether a place is safe, open, affordable or right for you remains yours.
3. AI-Generated Results
When you search in natural language, an AI model interprets your sentence and converts it into a search. Interpretation is probabilistic: it can misread you, over-narrow, or return something you did not mean. Results are suggestions produced by software, not professional advice of any kind. If a result looks wrong, rephrase or use the filters instead.
4. Anonymous Account
The App creates an anonymous account on your device so that your saved places and unlocked areas persist. You do not create credentials, and there is nothing to sign in to. Because that account is tied to your installation, deleting the App or deleting your account from within it may permanently remove your saves and any areas or passes you have unlocked. We cannot recover them afterwards. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Free Tier, Purchases & Subscriptions
PinFinder is free to download. A free tier gives you one neighbourhood permanently plus a daily allowance of AI searches. Wider access is available through purchases made with Apple's in-app purchase system:
- Unlock an Area — $2.99. A one-off purchase granting one additional neighbourhood, permanently. It does not renew.
- Trip Pass — $8.99. A one-off purchase granting one city for 30 days with unlimited AI search. It does not renew; when the 30 days end, access to that city ends.
- Pro — $34.99 per year or $9.99 per month. An auto-renewing subscription covering every area, unlimited AI search and premium features.
Prices are shown in the App, may vary by region and are subject to change. Where a purchase grants a right rather than a fixed item, you choose which area or city to apply it to; that choice is recorded on our servers and, once applied, cannot be moved to a different area.
For the auto-renewing Pro plan:
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically and your Apple ID is charged for the next period.
- Your Apple ID is charged upon confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
- You can manage or cancel at any time in iPhone Settings under your Apple ID. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
6. Fair Use of AI Search
AI search carries a real cost per query, so allowances exist per tier and are enforced on our servers. We may adjust those allowances, and we may temporarily rate-limit or suspend access where usage is automated, abusive, or clearly not the behaviour of a person looking for somewhere to eat.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-extract, mirror or resell place data or our editorial content;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to circumvent entitlement checks, quotas or paywalls;
- use the App to harass a venue or its staff, or to publish false information about a place;
- interfere with the App's operation or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- use the App in violation of any applicable law, including local mapping and data-protection rules.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, its editorial notes, curated selections, text and code are the property of Mon App Studio and are protected by intellectual property law. Third-party place content and photographs remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed with the attribution their providers require. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.
9. Third-Party Terms
PinFinder displays content from Google Maps Platform. Your use of that content within the App is additionally subject to Google's Terms of Service.
10. Availability & Changes
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, including curated coverage of a given area. We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; outages at our providers can take parts of it offline.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that place information will be accurate, or that results will meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mon App Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss or disappointment resulting from a venue being closed, different from its description, or otherwise not as expected.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the App after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
